About Ms. Jaime Maraviglia:
We could not think of a more perfect instructor for Junior Musical Revue than The Modern Music Academy’s biggest musical theater fanatic, Ms. Jaime Maraviglia.
Ms. Jaime has been teaching at The Modern Music Academy since 2015, where she primarily offers lessons in voice, piano, and ukulele. She holds a B.A. in Theatre Performance with a minor in Dance from Wagner College and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Montclair State University.
As a performing artist, her most recent stage credits include Legally Blonde at The Barn Theatre in Montville, Trial By Jury with Light Opera of New Jersey, and Aesop’s Fables with The Women’s Theater Company. In 2014, she was part of the national tour of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story as an actor and musician.
Throughout her years at TMMA, she has coached many ensembles and groups that integrate voice, theater, and dance. She tailors her lessons to her students’ unique interests and goals while providing a strong foundation in technique and lifelong skills in music. Ms. Jaime is passionate about nurturing students, building their confidence, and igniting their love for the arts!
Outside of TMMA, Ms. Jaime has directed and choreographed youth productions at regional theaters, summer theater programs, and other youth programs, including Surflight Theatre, Mainstages, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, and Papermill Playhouse. Some of those productions include “Seussical,” songs from “West Side Story,” several children’s theater productions, and showcases/variety shows. She is currently the music teacher and choreographer for the CWC Summer Enrichment Program and has been for the past three years.
As co-director of the spring theater productions at Grover Cleveland Middle School, Ms. Jaime has co-directed shows such as Shrek, Once Upon a Mattress, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She is thrilled to work with our Musical Show Choir and to share her love of musical theater with the musical theater stars of the future!
