We believe private music lessons are the most effective way to learn an instrument. One-on-one instruction helps students build strong musical skills and lays a solid foundation for music literacy. It also gives students the freedom to explore the styles and songs they’re most excited about, while allowing teachers to create personalized lesson plans that fit each student’s goals and learning style.
In private lessons, the teacher can give their full attention to the student, making sure things like hand position, posture, or tricky concepts are really clicking. If a student is struggling with something, the teacher can take the time to work through it with them without holding up a class of other students. And if a private student is picking things up quickly, they can move ahead at a pace that’s right for them.
We offer 30 minute, 45 minute, and 1 hour lessons for students of all ages and experience levels. Lesson length typically depends on age, skill level, and teacher recommendation. Our instructors are highly experienced educators and active performers with university degrees in the instruments or voice areas they teach, and they work with everyone from complete beginners to advanced musicians.
