About Alex Hill
Alex is a classically trained tubist from Tullahoma, TN. They regularly perform tuba with orchestras all across the San Francisco Bay Area, where they currently live. Alex also records music for albums, video games, YouTube, and more as the tubist for The Game Brass. Together, they have recorded over 300 individual music tracks and have released 11 albums.
They were inspired and shaped by their friends, family, and the music education experiences from their childhood like band, private lessons, and youth orchestra. This passion drives their work to give back to the community as a Payroll and Tax Compliance Coordinator for Ensemble Performing Arts. Alex loves working as a supporting role in service of our students, teachers, and schools.
Alex has an M.M. in performance from Illinois State University and a B.A. in music education from Tennessee Tech University, where he studied with the world renowned R. Winston Morris and performed in the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble. In their free time, Alex enjoys composing electronic and jazz music, exploring VR, games like FFXIV and Monster Hunter, and learning new languages (currently Mandarin).
