About Maurel Thom
After years of service to his home studio in New Jersey, The Modern Music Academy, Maurel was excited to join the Ensemble Performing Arts team in February 2022. He quickly began assisting other studios, like Marlton Music Academy (formerly Music Training Center) in the fall of 2022 and Ellsworth Music in the spring of 2023. He now takes pride in working with a team of extremely talented general managers who oversee 10+ locations ranging from Massachusetts to northeast West Virginia. His background in community development and his degree in music education (w/ a concentration on saxophone) have allowed him to pursue his vision of becoming the leader in developing music schools that offer staff and families an unmatched experience while attaining long-term success. When he is not working closely with his general managers to support music lessons, retail, and rentals, he likes to teach violin, watch movies and concerts, learn about Japanese language and culture, and go rock climbing.
